Farmer Joe sez ” ……er”
By which he means he hopes to see you at the Farmers Market at West Malling this Sunday, 27th September 2009. The last one of summer, kids are back at school, and although this weekend looks like it’s going to be sunny and warm, the nights are drawing in, the leaves are falling…
Time to start thinking of getting in those Kentish apples, maybe even try some of the very young root crops, definitely time to try some English Wine Nouveaux, ahh…all the delights that an English and Kentish early autumn bring!

Farm made cheese to go with hand baked bread. Marmalade because it is British, and loads of other wonderful things.
See you there.
The West Malling Farmers Market is one of the oldest and best in Kent. Taken over 3 months ago, a new life has been breathed into it, with more stalls, and importantly, mor real Farmers Market type stalls.

The market has the organic fruit and vegetable s that you’d expect, as well as local farm raised meat, hand baked breads, and cakes, preserves and jams; it also has slightly more exotic fare like chillis and chilli jams, specialist fish cakes, honeys from happy, local bees, beers and English wines and much more. And like all good Farmers Markets, you can get what is seasonal, fresh out of the ground, for that world beating taste. They don’t call it The Garden of England for nothing.
After the Market there si a great choice of pubs and restaurants offering lunch: from a light bite to a top chef without the sweary bits. And afterwards Manor Park is a delight to get a bit of the old fresh air, stretch the legs, live the life.
Sp please come along and make a great day of it. See you there.
