Sunday 26th September, Farmers Market, High Street, West Malling.
That’s it then huh? Summer gone. Autumn here.
But look on the bright side. This years apples are the sweetest and tastiest for years. English, and especially Kentish Cheeses go from strength to strength, from great to bloody marvellous. It’s one of the prettiest times of year, great for a Sunday visit to the market, a walk and a good lunch.
Great too for some local Kentish meat for a roast, some hand made cakes,(just because), and great for stocking up on local Kent food.
See you at the market then, Sunday morning.
This month we have Country Wisdom instead of a monthly recipe.

Winterdales for Cheese. International Award wining cheese. Here this Sunday, 28th March.
Enjoy.
It’s here again, the West Malling Farmers Market, this Sunday morning, 23rd August.
As I mentioned, the Apple season has begun, but since I wrote I’ve talked to a couple of apple growers who think this is a great season. Great for big, juicy crisp Kentish Apples, which are just the thing on a summers day.

And of course the BBQ products will be there, the organic wines, the cakes, the fab bread. All you want in a busy Farmers market, this Sunday, West Malling, Kent.
AND! Just to get the old brain cells going, Kent Adult Education are having a stall to let you know what they are offering this year in their great range of courses. These include, (deep breath), ..art, pottery, stained glass, jewellery making, life drawing, walking, dance (including belly dancing) and personal development courses (assertiveness, counselling courses, bookkeeping, computer skills) and ITEC and complementary therapy courses. So something for everyone.
Weyhey! The Apple season is here. Lovely fresh, crunchy, juicy apples from English orchards, even local Kentish orchards, to bring a smile to you faces.
Fresh local apples are one of the seasonal joys of a Farmers Market, don’t miss them.

And remember a bit of local cheese too.
An apple without some cheese is like a kiss without a squeeze…
