Thanks all, stall holders and market visitors alike for the great support given to The Big Curry charity last month.
We raised nearly £250, and as that is replicated all over the country at loads of events, all the time, we are part of raising some useful money.
Of course, it’s never really enough. If you would like to contribute more, or just find out more about The Big Curry, the website is here.

We will be supporting them next April again.
Want great fresh food? Tired of 10 day old food freighted in through clouds of volcanic ash? Food that was picked before an election was announced even?
West Malling Farmers Market is your answer. Great fresh farm foods, bespoke foods and all the fun of the farm. This weekend we will be supporting The Big Curry, helping our lads and lasses in the forces, so why not come along, get some great grub and do a bit of good?

The sun will shine, the birds will sing, the car park will be free, Hey…it will be a fab day. See you there.

West Malling Farmers Market is spicing up the April market in aid of Britain’s soldiers.
The Big Curry is organised by the Army Benevolent Fund, The Soldiers Charity.
At this month’s market, 25th April, a number of the producers will be making and selling curry related foods. For those not so keen on the nation’s favourite food, there will be donation boxes on some of the stalls.
Desi Box Catering will be making a special desi mushroom and pepper curry for the big curry. £1.00 will be donated for every one sold. It can be eaten hot at the market or taken home frozen.
Hillman’s Sausages, who make handmade speciality sausages, will be making a mild chicken korma sausage and a hot lamb vindaloo sausage. They will be donating 10% of sales of these great sausages to the Big Curry.
Jo’s Cakes will be selling a wonderful curry soup to drink on the market and making a donation for each cup sold.
Ladies in Bread have made a few Hot Tomato & Apple Chutneys and Hot Chilli Jellies. All the money from these will go to The Big Curry.
Love Chillies, who are famous for their spicy pickled onions, have made a limited edition curried pickled onion. For every jar purchased £1.00 will go to The Big Curry.
Low Wood Nursery will be selling curry plants and will be making a donation for each plant sold.
The Posh Pie Company will be making Beef Madras with Pickled Lime Pie and donating £1.00 per pie sold. If you haven’t tried these award wining pies this month is a good month to try one.
Roundwood Orchard Pig Farm will be making ½ kg packets of diced pork marinated in a Tikka Masala, Tandoor and a Balti sauce, a £1.00 donation will be made for each packet purchased.
Steve Wood the market manager said “These guys and girls do so much for us, its nice to be able to give a little something back, it’s not to much of a sacrifice having to eat more curry, so please come along and help us help them”.
