Yes. This Sunday. Not the last one of the month. The weather might be clearing, but it’s being a weird year so far so maybe it will be summer snow.
We are hoping the Asparagus might burst forth and be righteously ripe and will recipe du jour it as soon as we know. (It’ll be roast Asparagus. It’s the best way. With black pepper and parmesan. St Delia of Cookingham told me so, all close and personal like.)

This month our charity stall is the Demelza Trust, which is a children’s Hospice in Kent. If we get sunshine at the market lets spread it a bit further, huh?
OK. See you Sunday. Oh, The Country Park is looking stunning at the moment, great for a country walk after lunch, after market….
Thanks all, stall holders and market visitors alike for the great support given to The Big Curry charity last month.
We raised nearly £250, and as that is replicated all over the country at loads of events, all the time, we are part of raising some useful money.
Of course, it’s never really enough. If you would like to contribute more, or just find out more about The Big Curry, the website is here.

We will be supporting them next April again.
Just a quick reminder. There are 5 weekends in May, and the market is on the 4th Sunday of the month, not the last Sunday.
Just saying…
Want great fresh food? Tired of 10 day old food freighted in through clouds of volcanic ash? Food that was picked before an election was announced even?
West Malling Farmers Market is your answer. Great fresh farm foods, bespoke foods and all the fun of the farm. This weekend we will be supporting The Big Curry, helping our lads and lasses in the forces, so why not come along, get some great grub and do a bit of good?

The sun will shine, the birds will sing, the car park will be free, Hey…it will be a fab day. See you there.
Farmers’ Market of the month: West Malling
2010 is undoubtedly a year to celebrate at West Malling’s Farmers’ Market. Not only has the historic market town got a tradition of holding markets since the 1100s, the current West Malling Farmers’ Market will be marking its 10th anniversary this November.

Recently relaunched, it now boasts more than 40 stalls, making it one of our largest Farmers’ Markets. Its size and variety makes it very popular with locals, while the joint appeal of the market and the historic town packed with fantastic pubs and award-winning restaurants draws in visitors from all over Kent and the south east.
